Maize Valley grows more than 30 acres of pumpkins - big, small, round, oblong, orange, white, shades of red - lots and lots of pumpkins. Pumpkins are $.40 per pound out of the patch, pumpkins at the market are priced as marked.
How do you get these pumpkins? There are a few ways.
1. Weekdays you can just walk out to the patch and pick some, or choose ones that are pre-picked from our market.
2. Weekdays at 1:00pm, 3:00, 5:00 & 6:00 you can take a wagon ride out to the patch. The wagon ride is included in our weekday admission of $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for kids. The admission also includes the corn maze and the kids play area and petting pasture. Note keep an eye on the sky as rain can alter the avaliablity.
3. Last Weekend for the maze - November 1 & 2 - the maze will be open, and we will offer wagon rides. The barrel train will not be running, there will be no pig races and no pumpkin cannon. Reduced Admission of $5 per person will be charged for this last weekend.
NOTE: Pumpkins out of the patch are $.40 per pound. That is fourty cents per pound. Depending upon the time you visit the patch we may weigh in the patch and pay there or take care of payment and weighing in the market.
Again activities are subject to weather please call ahead if the weather appears to be unstable. If you choose to come out get half way done with things and it rains we do not give refunds. If you leave home and by the time you get here we have stopped wagon rides due to the weather we are sorry but we reserve the right to suspend activities if we feel it is not the smartest thing to do. It may seem fun to you to take a wagon ride in the rain but it may not be the safest option.
