Maize Valley Wine

There are no rules - we don’t believe in them. But for optimum tasting enjoyment, we suggest that you taste drier wines first, then the sweeter wines (it keeps your tongue from getting confused)! Our list starts with the dry wines at the top and gets sweeter as you go down the list.

White Wines

Chardonnay – This is a dry white wine fermented in oak barrels. It has hints of butter and vanilla. ($13.99 per bottle & $6 per glass)

Sinfully White - Also from the Chardonnay grape, this wine retains the fruit flavors of the grape. It is crisp, light and clean – un-oaked. ($13.99 per bottle & $6 per glass)

Riesling – This is a delicious, light, semi-sweet white wine with hints of apricots - perfect for any occasion. ($16.99 per bottle & $6 glass)

Traminette - An elegant, floral aroma followed by a slight spiciness, with honey and apricot flavors. It pairs well with Asian, poultry or seafood. ($16.99 per bottle & $6 glass)

La Crescent - Fruity, tropical aromas and flavors and is from our own vineyards. ($16.99 per bottle & $6 glass)

Vignoles – A delightful sensation of lush ripe tropical fruit balanced by a crisp acidity. This off-dry wine pairs well with spicy foods or Sushi. ($16.99 per bottle & $6 glass)

Summer Fling - This wine is a delicious blend of white wine made from Vidal grapes and our own home grown Red Raspberry wine. It is a summer day in every bottle. ($14.99 per bottle & $6.00 per glass)

Hanky Panky Pink – This is made from the slightly sweetened Catawba grape. ($9.99 to go, $10.99 here & $5.50 per glass)

Mad Cow– This wine is sweet with a fresh grapey aroma.($9.99 to go, $10.99 here & $5.50 per glass)

Red Wines

Big Red Pecker – This wine is smooth, rich and dry with hints of black cherries & berries. ($23.99 per bottle & $7 glass)

Merlot – This wine is mellow and smooth with hints of berry, plum and currant ($16.99 per bottle)

Sinfully Red – This red Zinfandel has a berry aroma with bold fruit flavors and a spicy, pepper finish. ($16.99 per bottle & $7 per glass)

Secret Stash – This dry red wine is made from the Barbera grape. It is medium-body with low tannins. There are aromas and flavors of red and black berries. ($27.99 per bottle & $9 per glass)

Chambourcin – This wine has fill and fruity aromas, has medium body with hints of cocoa and spices. It pairs well with pork, dark chocolate and chocolate desserts. ($14.99 per bottle & $6 per glass)

Middle of the Road - A blend of our very own grapes used to make a semi-sweet, full bodied wine with fruity characteristics. ($12.99 per bottle $6 per glass)

Red Neck Red – This is a sweet red fun table wine with a grapey aroma. ($9.99 to go, $10.99 here & $5.50 per glass)

Port Style Wines

Chambourcin Port - This is a delicious, sweet, port style dessert wine with hints of coffee, berry fruits and chocolate. On premise consumption is limited to glass sales only. ($23.99 per bottle, $9 per glass & $1 per sample)

Little Red Pecker – This is also a port style wine, made from the Frontenac grapes which are from the Maize Valley Vineyard. It has lush shades of cherry, raspberry and black currant, with chocolate undertones. ($16.99 per bottle, $6 per glass & $1 per sample)

Fruit Wines

Apple Pie – This is an apple wine with hints of cinnamon, cloves and brown sugar. ($10.99 per bottle & $5.50 per glass)
